1. John HOYES was born about 1732 in England. He died on 4 Mar 1782 in Heckington, England. The last will and testament of John Hoyes of Heckington is as follows:

On the fourth day of March in the year of our Lord 1782 Letters of Administration of all and singular the Goods Chattells and Credits of the within named John Hoyes deceased together with his Will annexed, were committed and granted unto Elizabeth Hoyes the widow relict and residuary legatee named in the will for the said deceased, who having
been first duly sworn before the Rev. John Andrews clerk lawfull surrogate of the worshipfull Thomas Bever LLD Vicar General and Official principal of the Lord Bishop of Lincoln. In the Name of God Amen, The 9 day of November 1781 I, John Hoyes being sick in body but of good and sound memory thank be to Almighty God to remembrance uncertain estate of this transitory life and that all flesh must yield to death when it shall please god to call do make construe ordain and declare this my last will and testament in manner falling. First I give and bequath to William Hoyes the house og 3 acres of a cow common in Morton Parish. I leave to my wife 9 acres and 10 perches of land in Morton Parish, then I leave every thing else to my wife. I leave all of principal estate to my wife.
