144. Christian F. BLESSING was born on 23 Jul 1832 in Derry Township, Dauphin County, Pa.. He died about 1876 in Harrisburg, Dauphin Co., Pa.. He has descendant number 1-9-5-8. He was a blacksmith. He was buried in Catholic Cemetery, Harrisburg, Pa.. Christians birth date of July 23, 1832 was listed on a school tuition list of 1839. He was 7 years old. He is listed in the 1850 census at age 17. He was living with his mother Sarah when that census was taken for his father Christian had already died.

The Dauphin County Wills, page 384 book I H lists the following:

Christian Blessing, Harrisburg, Pa., brother John who supports their mother, brother-in-law Franklin Rhine, wife Harriet, her father James Cunningham. Dated Feb 6, 1874 recorded April 27, 1874. Christian Blessing of Harrisburg leaves house to brother John because
of John's care of their mother, orders tombstone for wife Harriet Blessing, her father James Cunningham and for himself. George Snoke appointed exec. (Christian F. Blessing, signature) Feb. 6, 1876. Codicil requests 7 masses to be said yearly for 10 years for Christian F and wife Harrieta Blessing and father-in-law James Cunningham in the
English Church on State Street, Harrisburg. To be paid (cost $7 per year) by brother John Blessing. letters granted to George Snoke April 2, 1876. Recorded April 2, 1876.

George Snoke was a relative, possibly an uncle because Christian's mother's maiden name was Snoke. Christian's house was located on the North side of Reiley Street
between 5th St. and Manada Alley in Harrisburg, Pa. Many Blessings lived in this house down through the generations. For example, Christian's brother, John M. Blessing, his sister, Phoebe from time to time, his brother, William Blessing's family etc.
