272. Elizabeth BLESSING was born on 21 May 1860 in Derry Township, Dauphin County, Pa.. She died on 19 Mar 1930 in Sandhill Dauphin Co Pa.. She has descendant number 1-9-5-2-10. Elizabeth and her husband John B. Smith are both buried in the Sandhill Cemetery, Rd1 Hummelstown, Pa. Elizabeth's date of birth in the church cemetery records is listed as 1890 which is in error. She was born May 21, 1860. John B. Smith's death date is also wrong in the records, listing John's death as 1839 instead of 1939.

Elizabeth's obituary was taken from the "Hummelstown Sun" newspaper of March 28, 1930:

"Mrs. J. B. Smith. Mrs John B. Smith, 69, died on Wednesday of last week at her home at Sandhill after a lingering illness. Surviving beside the husband are two sons, Frank of New Bloomfield, and Edgar, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Aumen of Hershey and Mrs. H. B. McCorkel, Hershey R.D. 2; also three brothers, Frank Blessing, Hummelstown; John and Daniel Blessing of Lebanon and two sisters, Mrs. John B. Nye, Washington and Mrs. Albert Ashenbach of Elizabethtown. Funeral services were held at Sandhill Lutheran Church (later to become St. Paul's Lutheran Church) Saturday at 2:30 p.m."

She was married to John B. SMITH on 23 Dec 1888 in Hummelstown, Pa.. John B. SMITH was born on 8 Aug 1857. He died on 11 Feb 1939 in Dauphin County, Pa.. Elizabeth BLESSING and John B. SMITH had the following children:
